Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Pharmacy Director of Acute Operations to lead our pharmacy department and oversee a comprehensive program of pharmaceutical services. This role is essential in managing service quality, financial targets, and departmental personnel while supporting the expansion of our ambulatory pharmacy services. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a proactive approach to policy development, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Pharmaceutical Services Management:
Organize and direct a comprehensive program of pharmaceutical services to ensure effective and efficient care delivery.
Leadership and Supervision:
Supervise and lead pharmacy department personnel, guiding them to meet service, quality, and financial targets.
Policy and Procedure Oversight:
Plan, implement, review, and revise policies, procedures, programs, and practices to align with professional standards and institutional goals.
Committee and Project Leadership:
Actively participate in and provide leadership on assigned committees and projects to drive departmental and organizational success.
Collaboration and Relationship Building:
Establish and maintain productive and respectful working relationships with all departments and personnel, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Must-Have Skills/Qualifications:
Supervisory Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years of supervisory experience in a hospital pharmacy department or equivalent.
Effective Communication:
Proven ability to communicate effectively with medical and hospital staff.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with a minimum of a 5-year B.S. degree.
