Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Care Coordinator to join our team and support our pharmacy operations. In this role, you will handle inbound and outbound calls related to medication adherence, prescription refills, provider follow-ups, and more. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic call center environment, ensuring quality communication and customer service while maintaining confidentiality and meeting performance standards.


Responsibilities/ Job Duties:

  • Conduct inbound and outbound calls to meet program requirements, including medication adherence outreach, reminder calls, prescription refill requests, and provider follow-up calls.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly call assignments and ensure census management and productivity standards are consistently met.
  • Demonstrate excellent phone and communication skills, providing clear, accurate, and complete information to customers.
  • Respond to escalated inquiries via task queues, portal, claim queue, and department documentation platforms.
  • Review prescription claims documentation, collect eligibility information, and maintain confidential records in accordance with regulations.
  • Provide support to internal staff and providers regarding Medicare drug-related issues and request additional or supplemental information to complete applications.
  • Assist clinical staff and managers with clerical and administrative tasks, including special studies, projects, and reports.
  • Ensure adherence to assigned schedules and quality metrics, consistently meeting productivity goals.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff and managers on special projects and provide administrative support as needed.
  • Serve as a reliable resource for internal and external customers, delivering excellent customer service.
  • Participate in pharmacy quality improvement initiatives to support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times, safeguarding patient and coworker information.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • Experience in a pharmacy, medical and/or healthcare setting
  • Call center experience
  • Experience with medical terminology
  • Basic level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook

Schedule/ Shift: Monday - Friday 9:00am-6:00pm (for 4 weeks of training) then 10:00am-7:00pm
