Pharmacy Billing Associate
Job description
Location: Louisville, KY
Overview: We are seeking Pharmacy Billing Associates to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for Pharmacy Technicians looking to transition away from traditional pharmacy settings and dive into the billing side of the industry.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Handle customer interactions via phone, both inbound and outbound.
- Review denials and claims to ensure accuracy and resolve issues.
- Maintain daily logs and documentation.
Training:
- Comprehensive hands-on training lasting 2.5-3 weeks with a team lead.
- Initial training will start at 8:30 AM, transitioning to standard business hours (9 AM - 5 PM) for the remainder of the training period.
Compensation:
- $20.00 - $22.00/hour for candidates without pharmacy billing experience.
- $20.00 - $24.00/hour for those with prior pharmacy billing experience.
Shifts Available:
- Shift 1: 2 PM - 10:30 PM, Monday - Friday (no weekends, includes a 5% shift differential).
- Shift 2: 11 AM - 7:30 PM, Monday - Friday with rotating weekends (schedule based on needs, overtime available).

Must-Have Skills/Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
- Customer service experience within a pharmacy setting.
- Familiarity with insurance and payor processes.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Pharmacy Technician Certification.
- Pharmacy billing experience.
- Medicare Part D experience.
