Job description

Job Title: Quality Assurance Pharmacist

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Pharmacist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role will be performing final product checks, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and safety for our long-term care (LTC) facility patients. The Quality Assurance Pharmacist plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the prescription fulfillment process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Product Verification 2 (PV2) checks to ensure that medications are accurately prepared and labeled for patients.
  • Verify that the correct medication, dosage, and quantity have been dispensed and that all packaging and labeling are correct.
  • Ensure all required information and instructions are provided to patients, including offering counseling services as per patient wishes.
  • Review and validate the accuracy of information verified during the PV1 step, ensuring overall prescription accuracy.
  • Act as the pharmacist of record, accountable for the precision and quality of the prescription fulfillment process.
  • Collaborate with other team members to uphold pharmacy standards and ensure patient safety.

Qualifications:

  • Active pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience working in a long-term care (LTC) setting.
  • Prior experience with medication dispensing processes.

Job Type: Contract

Compensation: $54-60 depending on experience

Hours: 40 hours/week - Various shifts available

Location: Aurora, CO 80011

Benefits: In order to be eligible for health benefits, you must be employed for 30 days and must average 30 hours per week over your first four weeks on assignment. If you become eligible and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s).
