Job Description

  1. Responsibilities/ Job Duties:
  • Works with collections team to ensure daily productivity and quality standards are met, as well as assisting with training and coaching to ensure all team members are operating at full potential.
  • Creates notes on the patients account for auditing and actions taken per the Standard Operating Procedures or as outlined by the team manager.
  • Works the total patient accounts outstanding A/R including credits and denials to reduce A/R aging buckets per the department's goals.
  • Works hand in hand with the other team members to correct errors.
  • Push back on insurance denials by submitting appeals cases.
  • Send corrected claims and appeals based on payer guidelines in a timely manner.
  • Successfully "touch" 40 patient accounts per day in addition to QA standards.
  • Other projects as assigned.

  1. Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements:
  • 2+ Years of Healthcare Collections Experience - Not looking for "full cycle", strictly back-end collections with payer denials and appeals
  • Medicare and Large Payer Mix Experience
  • Comfortable working and operating within Excel
  • Lab Collections - Preferred, not required

  1. Schedule/ Shift: M-F, can start as early as 6am PST - 8 hour shift. **Must abide by PST regardless of where the employee resides. Must abide by specific set hours for the initial training period.
