Medix is currently hirning for a Patient Financial Service Customer Service Rep in Glassboro, NJ. This is a full time on site role.

Repsonsibilies:

• Answering up to 600 calls per week, answer any billing questions patients have about their statements

• Accurately respond to patient phone call inquiries in a courteous manner.

• Provide clear and accurate information regarding billing statements, insurance coverage, payment options, and account balances.

• Assist patients in understanding their financial responsibilities and resolving billing issues.

• Take appropriate action to resolve patient issues, including processing payments, setting up payment plans, and correcting billing errors.

• Escalate complex issues to the appropriate department or supervisor when necessary.

• Reading patient EOB's
• Running eligibility
• Taking payments

• 1-2 years medical physician billing or collections required
• EMR experience - preferably Cerner
• Know what an EOB is and being able to read one
• Commercial and Government insurance knowledge
• Knowledge of Windows-based software applications (Word, Excel, etc.).

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
