Payment Reconciliation Specialist

Job description

A home health company is seeking an experienced Payment Reconciliation Specialist (Cash Poster) to join their team for a backlog project.

This is a Fully remote, 3 month opportunity with equipment provided and flexible working hours.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Review payments from insurance payers versus expected reimbursement amounts
  • Review spreadsheet of outgoing claims, clearinghouse, and incoming payments to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Communicate discrepancies with the billing team

Requirements:

  • 2+ years (must be recent role) Cash Posting and Over/Under Payment Revenue Cycle experience
  • Strong Excel experience (there will be an assessment as part of the interview process)
  • Strong Attention to Detail
  • Previous Remote Work experience
  • Ability to work independently

Schedule/Shift:

Monday-Friday Flexible Hours

*Will be 8am-4:30pm EST for the first 1-2 weeks for training

Pay:

$21-24 per hour depending on experience


Contract Length: 480 hours (approx. 12 weeks) Contract opportunity

Benefits provided by Medix:

Sick Pay: You will receive one day of Sick Time after working 600 hours and an additional day of Sick Time for every 300 hours after. **Please note that if you're in a city/state with unique PTO requirements, the city/state's policy will override Medix's internal PTO policy.
