* Follow the department's payment reconciliation process with strict adherence.
* Prioritize workload to ensure timely posting and maximize turnaround time.
* Serve as a backup for Charge Posters as needed.
* Consistently meet or exceed productivity benchmarks while maintaining accuracy.
* Maintain an error rate in accordance with departmental standards.
* Update demographic information as necessary to ensure accurate patient statements.
* Professionally and promptly respond to both internal and external phone calls.
* Monitor and respond to emails in a timely and courteous manner.
* Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications
* 3+ years of cash/payment posting experience OR 5+ years of medical billing experience
* Proficient in reading EOBs and remittance advice
* Experienced in both electronic and manual payment posting
* Knowledge of major commercial and government payers
* Familiarity with CMS guidelines, payer contracts, and coding policies
* Strong math and computer skills
* Preferred: At least 2 years of NextGen experience
Nice-to-Have Skills
* Background in Ophthalmology
* Proficiency with NextGen EHR
Preferred Soft Skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Dependable and punctual with strong time management
* Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Schedule
* Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Rate
* $20 to $23 an hour
