At our state-of-the-art ophthalmology center, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional patient care - and we need YOU to help us deliver it. We're seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the welcoming face of our office and ensure that every patient experience is seamless, efficient, and positive. If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves interacting with patients, and has a keen eye for detail, we want you on our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Be the First Point of Contact: Greet patients and visitors with a smile and exceptional customer service.
  • Keep Things Running Smoothly: Answer calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries with efficiency and care.
  • Ensure Accuracy in Insurance Verification: Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, ensuring everything is in place for scheduled procedures.
  • Handle Pre-Authorizations: Obtain pre-authorizations and referrals for ophthalmic surgeries, ensuring all details are accurate and up to date.
  • Work Closely with Teams: Collaborate with our clinical and billing teams to make sure everything aligns for the best patient care.
  • Navigate the Insurance World: Communicate with insurance companies and follow up on pending authorizations or claims, taking the stress off our patients.
  • Protect Patient Information: Maintain confidentiality of patient information with complete compliance to HIPAA.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Front desk or customer service experience in a healthcare setting is a must.
  • Attention to Detail
  • Communication Skills: You can speak with patients, insurance companies, and your team members clearly and with compassion.
  • Experience with Insurance Verification: Familiarity with insurance verification and pre-authorization processes is highly preferred.
  • A Team Player: You work well with others to ensure smooth patient care and a great workplace.
