Job description

Job Overview: Patient Scheduler

We are hiring Patient Schedulers to join a sub-specialty Ophthalmology clinic in Lenexa, KS 66215. Previous scheduling experience is not required, as training is provided.

Position Title: Patient Scheduler
Location: Lenexa, KS 66215
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule patient appointments with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Handle multi-line telephone calls, ensuring calls are answered within 1-3 rings with a professional greeting.
  • Screen and direct calls appropriately, ensuring clear communication of all messages.
  • Gather patient information through patient interviews and verify information for appointment scheduling.
  • Obtain referring physician information, including screening patients for urgent or non-urgent scheduling.
  • Route medical inquiries to the appropriate clinical team member.
  • Maintain a professional, courteous, and respectful demeanor with all patient interactions.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in a medical office setting is preferred, but not required.
