Patient Registrar

**This is a 90 day temp position covering an FMLA leave**

Schedule: First 3 weeks of training: Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4pm. After training, Tues - Sat (7:30am-3pm on Sat)- 40 hours per week

- Responsibilities: registration of patients (lab, imaging, surgery and standard visits), scheduling of patient appointments, verification of insurance, entering of demographic data, collection of copayments.

- Most of the work is done in-person (handful of calls each day)

- Must have Skill/Experience: EHR/ EMR experience (Epic is preferred)

- Soft skills: Customer Service, Calm/Patient, Empathy (patients may be dealing with serious issues), good with people (and understanding what they are going through), ability to build/cheer people up when they are down.
