Job description

Currently hiring for a Patient Referral Coordinator in Federal Way, WA. This role is almost entirely REMOTE - only a few days are required to be on-site each month.

Day to day responsibilities may include:

Coordinating Referrals: Managing the referral process for patients, ensuring that all necessary information is collected and processed accurately.

Communication: Facilitating communication between referring physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure a smooth transition for the patient.

Documentation: Maintaining detailed and accurate records of patient referrals, including medical history, test results, and other relevant information.

Insurance Verification: Checking and verifying insurance coverage to ensure that patients have the necessary approvals and coverage for the referred services.

Scheduling: Coordinating appointments and procedures for referred patients, taking into consideration the availability of both the patient and the receiving healthcare facility.

Follow-Up: Monitoring the progress of referred patients and ensuring that any additional information or documentation required is obtained promptly.

Collaboration: Collaborating with various healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
