Job description

The Home Health Licensed Practical Nurse facilitates requests for insurance authorizations for Home Health Patients. Reviews cases on admission and throughout the home health certification to determine authorization needs of the patient receiving home health services. The goal of the position is to facilitate comprehensive patient management by ensuring all services to be provided are covered for reimbursement.

Primary duties:
- Responsible for accurate verification on insurance benefits and documents patient benefits with payers
- Authorizations
- Identify possible copays for patients
- Coordinates payment for all services required according to payer specifications
- Maintains home health documentation of write-offs as appropriate
- Problem solves insurance errors and researches insurances requirements
- Ensures patient benefits are accurate in EMR
- Answering patient benefit questions
- Provide a clinical perspective for patients

Must Have Skills/Qualifications:
- Oregon State Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse
- 1 - 2 years of Insurance verification experience
- 1 - 2 years of authorization experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer Service Skills
- Computer proficiency
- EPIC experience - major plus

Schedule: Full time - M-F, occasional weekends (8am-4:30pm/9am-5:30pm) - no earlier than 8am start. Saturdays coverage, weekend rotation 1x/month

Pay: $30-40 per hour

PTO/Sick Pay: Accrue PTO/Sick days at 0.033 per hour up to 5 days
