The Patient Financial Counselor facilitates requests for insurance authorizations for Home Health Patients.

Overview of Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accurate verification of insurance benefits
• Documents patient benefits with insurance payers
• Obtains and processes authorizations
• Identifies possible copays for patients
• Coordinates payment for all services required according to insurance payer specifications
• Maintains home health documentation of write-offs as appropriate
• Problem solves insurance errors and researches insurances requirements
• Ensures patient benefits are accurate in EMR system
• Answers patient benefit questions

Requirements:

• Home Health Experience (including insurance verification and authorizations) Highly Preferred
• 1-2 years of Insurance Verification experience
• 1-2 years of authorizations experience
• Customer Service skills
• Computer proficiency
• EPIC experience (preferred)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, start time between 8am-9am (8 hour shift) with 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday shift per month

Pay: $23-26 per hour depending on experience
