Job description

We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Patient Care Representative to join our specialized ophthalmology practice in Warrendale, PA! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service and ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to check-out.

Location: Warrendale, PA (with slight travel)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift
Pay: $15-$17/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, answer phones, check patients in and out, and manage patient inquiries
  • Scheduling: Arrange and adjust patient appointments, confirm schedules, and manage recall notices
  • Insurance and Payments: Verify insurance, gather demographic information, obtain necessary documentation, collect payments, and manage end-of-day collections
  • Administrative Support: Maintain cleanliness of reception area, assist with multi-line phone operations, scan documents, handle filing, and other office duties
  • Patient Care and Triage: Support urgent patient care as needed, acting as a liaison between patients and physicians
  • Travel Required: Travel between various office locations and outreach clinics as needed

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to operate multi-line phone systems
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management systems is a plus
  • Familiarity with insurance verification processes
