Job description

Patient Care Coordinator - Specialty Pharmacy Call Center

We are seeking dedicated Patient Care Coordinators to join a specialty pharmacy call center team. This role is essential in supporting patients with their pharmacy needs, ensuring efficient communication, and facilitating timely prescription deliveries. If you have a passion for customer service and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this opportunity is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate pharmacy shipments by verifying patient information and processing prescriptions for delivery.
  • Manage payment methods and input information using internal systems for order processing and delivery logistics.
  • Log patient details, including call information, delivery preferences, and method of payment.
  • Provide top-tier customer service by responding to patient calls and emails regarding their prescriptions.
  • Handle requests for refills, transfers, payments, and new prescriptions while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies related to customer orders and research billing issues.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure seamless onboarding for patients, transferring calls as necessary.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethics to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Prioritize tasks based on deadlines and expectations, communicate progress, and adjust to feedback and changes.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a call center environment.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries and resolve issues effectively.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare-related customer service.

Soft Skills:

  • Compassionate and patient-focused.
  • Dependable, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Schedule & Training:

  • Training: 3 weeks, Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.
  • Regular Schedule: Candidate must be available Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 9 PM, for an 8-hour shift within that timeframe.
