Overview:

These PSR's at the Tacoma location act as the first point of contact for patients as they enter the clinic. Scheduling and most other inbound calls are routed to. There is a separate call center team - so this role isn't very phone heavy. There is still some time spent interacting with patients on the phone but the majority of this role is going to be checking in patients, verifying insurances and overall providing administrative support to the clinic. The clinic utilizes their PSR staff as medical records clerks as well, so the individual placed in the role can expect to have processing faxes and paperwork be an essential function of this role. This clinic generally speaking has four providers working on a given day, five on Tues and Thursday. Patient volume can exceed 100 so a talent is needed that can hit the ground running and be able to make an immediate impact.

Schedule/Shift

M-F 7:45 AM - 4:45 PM

Responsibilities

• The primary role is to organize the practice's daily activities and paperwork
• Greet customers into the practice and provide instruction and/or direction as necessary both on the phone and in person
• Schedule and coordinate all patient appointments as directed
• Maintain an organized and clean work area, free of clutter
• Prepare all documentation and records with accuracy as directed or necessary for the patient's care
• Order and maintain the inventory, and stock in the area according to the policies and procedures established by the Practice Management Dept

Qualifications:

• Front Office / Receptionist Experience
• Customer Service Experience
• Good tenure in previous positions

Nice to Have Skills:

• EPIC Experience
• 1+ Years of Experience in the Medical Receptionist
