Patient Payment and Collections Specialist

Location: Brentwood, TN
Pay: $18-21/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Role Overview

We are hiring a Patient Payment and Collections Specialist to manage self-pay accounts, process daily payments, and act as the liaison between patients and clinics. This role involves both outbound and inbound calls to collect payments and update patient account status.

Key Responsibilities

• Run reports and process daily self-pay payments
• Communicate with clinics and patients about payment statuses
• Handle inbound and outbound calls for payment follow-up
• Utilize Carelogic (EHR) and InstaMed (Payment Portal)

Qualifications

Must-Have:

• 1+ year in patient follow-up/self-pay collections
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

• Knowledge of insurance and EOBs
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial insurance follow-up
