Job description

Medical Biller/ Billing Clerk

We are seeking a highly motivated medical biller to support our Denial Representatives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position is crucial for maintaining smooth operations and ensuring efficient communication within the team. Schedule/Shift: Monday to Friday, starting at either 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, or 8:30 AM.

Location: On-site in Camden, NJ 08103.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Send out appeals via hard copy or portal, supporting 6 Denial Representatives.
  • Answer all correspondence and take appropriate actions to resolve inquiries.
  • Verify and update insurance details in the Epic system.
  • Answer phones, take messages, and respond to routine information inquiries.
  • Maintain logs of daily activities to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Request work orders and follow up to ensure their completion.
  • Keep time and attendance records for staff as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of hospital experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Epic experience is preffered
  • Ability to interpret EOBs (Explanation of Benefits).
