Job description

We are currently seeking a Patient Access Representative to join one of our Ophthalmology Clients in Bethel Park, PA!

Please note - this position is in person role

  • Title: Patient Access Representative/Medical Front Desk
  • Location: Bethel Park (10% of travel to second closest location to home)
  • Shift: M-F Day Shift. Start time is 7:45 AM. End time varies on the last patient (40 hours per week)
  • Pay: $18-21/hour (based on qualification and experience)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Open and close the office with efficiency and care.
  • Collect and manage pre-files (records from referring offices) to prepare for patient visits.
  • Review patient information to determine the urgency of their visit.
  • Handle check-in and check-out processes with professionalism.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage changes as needed.
  • Collect payments, including copays and self-pay, accurately.

Background and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience with check-in/check-out processes is important.
  • Communication: Pleasant phone demeanor and strong communication skills are essential.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer systems is necessary.
  • No prior ophthalmology experience required. We will provide the training you need to excel in this role.
