Patient Access Representative

Job description

This position is in a call center environment & on-site in Jacksonville. In this position they will be taking full ownership of the tasks related to this position and provides successful outcomes that will enhance the reputation and ensures a first positive impression from a patient experience perspective.

As a Patient Access Rep, you will be responsible for:

  • Registering patients accurately and efficiently
  • Utilizing multiple systems and interfaces Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
  • Maintaining service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
  • Contributing to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
  • Possessing a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
  • Maintaining a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
  • Articulating compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
  • Maintaining patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (could be 8a - 4:30p OR 8:30a - 5p)

On-site, Jacksonville FL 32207

Pay:

$20-22/hr

3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications

  • Must be able to handle tough phone calls with patients
  • Call Center experience OR Medical Receptionist experience
  • Familiar with Health Insurances

Contract to hire position, 800 hours with Medix, then conversion to client company employee.
