Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize computerized scheduling, registration, and verification systems (EMR Epic) to manage patient access.
  • Obtain and verify patient information to meet clinical and financial requirements.
  • Triage and redirect calls for the Patient Access Center, adhering to provided scripts and guidelines.
  • Provide patients with the necessary information to prepare for their appointments.
  • Maintain and meet performance standards such as handling calls within a 6-minute range and adhering to break and shift schedules.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls with a focus on quality over quantity.
  • Support patients and healthcare staff with professional communication and problem-solving skills.

Must-Have Skills/Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare customer service.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Contact center experience, particularly in healthcare.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients over the phone.
  • EMR system experience
  • High School Diploma or GED

Soft Skills:

  • Reliability and strong time management.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork.
  • Professional demeanor during interviews and calls.

Schedule/Shift:

  • Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, onsite.

Dress Code:

  • Business Dress

Pay:

  • $18-$19/hour

Location:

  • Fully onsite in Katy, Texas
