Job Duties:

• Audit and review medical reports for CPT coding accuracy
• Coding pathology reports for different offices/states
• Verify ICD-10 relation to CPT when necessary and verify ICD-10 to highest level of specificity
• Code medical reports for CPT and ICD-10 as needed
• Correspond with the performing physician concerning any discrepancies and/or corrections
• Communicate billing or other items of concern with team management
• Review and monitor queue dates
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Medical Coding experience
• Physician based experience
• Outpatient based experience
• ICD-10 experience mandatory

Certification Qualifications:

• MUST HAVE either your CPC, RHIT or CCS
• CPC-A (Any apprentice is not eligible)

Nice to Have Skills:

• Laboratory, Pathology, GI or Dermatology Specialty experience
• ICD-10 diagnosis experience
• Surgical experience is always a plus
• EM experience not required but is a plus
• Epic

Schedule:

• Training will be 7am-3pm on-site
• Schedule can be flexed to either 7am-4pm if you take a lunch or 7am-3pm if you do not take a lunch
• Can work as early as 6am once they are approved out of training
• This role will be FULLY ONSITE initially for training (2-6 weeks DOE), once approved from training, 2-3 days will be mandatory on-site (Hybrid based schedule)

Pay: 52,000 - 56,160 DOE
