Location: Franklin, TN

Position: Full-Time Pharmacy Technician

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Rotating Saturdays (once a month): 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • If working a Saturday, a day off during the week will be provided.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting both internal and external customers, ensuring accurate and efficient prescription processing, and complying with all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Courteously assist all internal and external customers, addressing their needs and inquiries with professionalism.
  • Prescription Processing: Process prescription orders based on assigned priority. Enter new and refill orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA, and comply with state and federal guidelines regarding medication labeling.
  • Dosage Verification: Calculate and verify the correct dosage based on the prescription.
  • Pharmacy Workflow: Assist with pharmacy workflow fulfillment duties to meet production needs.
  • Consultation: Consult with the dispensing pharmacist regarding prescription order clarification, non-stock items, order entry problems, or concerns.
  • Data Entry: Complete all data fields according to pharmacy procedures, including the use of approved software and systems.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician preferred or required by state law.
  • Prior experience in a pharmacy setting is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
