Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Location: Lenexa, KS
Shift: Monday - Friday (Rotating 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM); Weekend and holiday availability required.

Job Description:
Join a dynamic team in the long-term patient care sector! We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support our mission of transforming medication management in healthcare facilities. You will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality service for long-term care patients by performing various pharmacy-related duties, including medication order processing and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with nursing facilities, prescriber offices, and insurance providers via phone or fax to fill orders, address inquiries, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Review and verify the completeness of medication orders before processing.
  • Check and verify orders, including short or pending orders, and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Billing Representatives to manage pending order claims.
  • Investigate and resolve issues such as missing deliveries, incorrect prescriptions, and order discrepancies.
  • Input patient profile information into the pharmacy system accurately.
  • Process prescriptions received electronically or via fax, ensuring correct data entry into the system.
  • Calculate and verify medication quantities as required.
  • Ensure all orders are processed within pharmacy cutoff times and meet delivery expectations.
  • Prepare and process first-dose orders and handle billing-related claims when necessary.
  • Promote open communication within the pharmacy team and with external customers to enhance service quality.

Required Qualifications:

  • State Pharmacy Technician license as required by the state of practice (Kansas)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (preferred).

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience in order entry.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to memorize information over time.

Work Schedule & Availability:

  • Flexibility to work between the shifts of 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM.
  • Weekend and holiday shifts required (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM).
  • Must work 2 holidays per year.
