Position Overview:

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) provides nursing care during the intraoperative phase, serving as the patient's advocate while assisting the surgical team and anesthesia providers. This role requires strong organizational skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize time, equipment, supplies, and staff for efficient case management.

• Supervise and direct patient care in the operating room.

• Delegate tasks effectively to available staff members.

• Maintain supply, drug, and equipment inventories to ensure readiness.

• Identify patients and confirm correct surgical interventions per facility policy.

• Review patient medical records to coordinate care with healthcare team members.

• Provide reassurance and maintain patient privacy and dignity.

• Educate patients on intraoperative procedures and care.

• Assist with anesthesia administration and anticipate surgical team needs.

• Accurately document patient care records and adhere to facility policies.

Requirements:

✅ Ortho Experience: Minimum 1 year required
✅ Certifications:

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

• Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Job Type: Full time

Compensation: $50-53 hourly depending on experience

Hours: 5x8 hr or 4x10 hr shifts available

Location: McClean, VA 21102

Start Date: ASAP

Benefits: In order to be eligible for health benefits, you must be employed for 30 days and must average 30 hours per week over your first four weeks on assignment.
