Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Ophthalmic/Optometric Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in eye care, possess excellent soft skills, and be committed to providing top-notch patient care. This role involves working closely with our optometrists and ophthalmologists to ensure a high standard of service and care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Conduct patient workups, including medical history and preliminary tests.
  • Perform visual acuity tests to assess patients' vision.
  • Measure intraocular pressure (IOP) or eye pressure.
  • Conduct fundus exams and cataract evaluations.
  • Perform vision exams and refractions.
  • Assist with minor in-office procedures.
  • Refer patients to Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) for major procedures.
  • Manage a high patient volume.

Schedule:

  • General working hours are between 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM.
  • Patient schedules vary slightly, with the earliest days typically being Wednesdays.

Qualifications:

  • Clinical experience in both Ophthalmology and/or Optometry
