Job description

3 Full Time Ophthalmic Technician openings!

200 South Orange Avenue Suite 209 Livingston New Jersey 07039

Monday-Friday Schedule

No Weekends

Weekly Pay, Direct Deposit, Benefits, and PTO options!

  • Patient preparation: Taking medical histories, dilating eyes, and preparing patients for exams
  • Vision screening: Performing basic vision screening exams and measuring visual acuity and eye pressure
  • Equipment operation: Operating equipment and cleaning and maintaining ophthalmic instruments
  • Medication administration: Administering eye medications and topical treatments
  • Patient education: Instructing patients about medications, tests, procedures, and how to use contacts and eye drops
  • Surgical assistance: Assisting physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures
  • Test result review: Examining test results and contributing to diagnostic discussions
  • Patient record keeping: Writing, editing, and filing patient medical records
  • Patient scheduling: Coordinating patient scheduling
