Job description

We are hiring for a Registered Nurse or LPN to join one of our top clients in Kansas City as an Ophthalmology RN/LPN. If you are looking to get into a clinic setting with no on call, no nights, no weekends, and no holidays this is for you!

Role Overview:

  • Perform compliant and complete patient work up in a timely manner (rooming patients, vitals, etc.)
  • Evaluate and complete assessment of patient needs to provide supportive care before, during, and after surgery and maintain accurate and complete patient records.
  • Communicate with physicians, referring physicians, and other medical professionals.
  • Good understanding of retina practice (training provided) and patient care.
  • Create and contribute to patient's medical records.
  • Collaborate with clinical team in patient testing and treatment.
  • Administration of medication, including IV procedures under direction of the physician.
  • Respond to inquiries, concerns, and complaints from patients and their families/guardians.
  • Ensure informed signed patient consent completed prior to administration of testing and injections.
  • Accept direction from clinical manager/physician and adhere to established routines.
  • Schedule patient appointments.
  • Administrative duties for clinic- including surgery scheduling, completing FMLA paperwork, drug ordering and inventory, and triaging patient calls.
  • Some travel is required between clinic locations.

Shift: M-F Availability berween 7 AM - 5 PM

  • Shift Options:7:00-3:00, 7:30-4:00, 8:00-4:30, 8:30-5:00 PM

Salary:

  • RN: $58,240-66,560/year
  • LPN: $47,480-54,080/year
  • + Mileage Reimbursement

Location: Float to different clinics in the KC Metro (you will get paid mileage that is nontaxable and added directly on your paycheck!)

Skills Needed:

  • RN: Associate's or Bachelors Degree in Nursing (KS & MO License required)
  • LPN: Active Licensure in KS & MO
  • 1+ year nursing experience
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience with Medical Records
  • Knowledge and practice of HIPAA compliance guidelines
