Job description

Medix is looking for an Ophthalmic Clinic Assistant to join a team of professionals in providing excellent patient care. This is a great opportunity to work on a team environment, as well as work one on one with patients in a fast paced setting! On the job training is provided (no healthcare experience is needed!).

Responsibilities:

  • Call patients into their room for appointment.
  • Record patient information using electronic medical record system (EMR).
  • Perform compliant and complete patient work up in a timely manner.
  • Perform vision and pressure checks and administer eye drops (training provided).
  • Communicate and work cooperatively with patients, physicians, and personnel.
  • Support imaging team as needed with patient testing.
  • Train new hires.
  • Assist with other responsibilities as required.

Locations: Main Office Location is Lenexa, KS

  • May travel to other locations around the KC Metro with mileage reimbursement (Overland Park, Kansas City, Lee's Summit, etc.)

Schedule: M-F Day Shift (No weekends, no holidays)

Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation that allows employee to work in multiple work locations.
  • Desire to gain experience in a professional medical setting.
  • High level of professionalism.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
