Ophthalmic Accounts Receivable Specialist (Entry Level)

Medix is hiring for an Accounts Receivable Specialist for one of the top Ophthalmology Clinics in the KC area! No Billing or A/R experience required, but healthcare experience or knowledge is preferred. This is a fantastic opportunity to get your foot in the door for Medical Billing and Accounts Receivable!

Role Overview:

• Manage A/R aged over 30 days and work with insurance or patients to resolve account balance
• Identify and research overpayments and initiate refunds
• Assist patients with billing questions
• Process Credit Card payments
• Other duties as assigned!

Schedule: Mon - Fri 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Pay: $18-20.00/hr

• $18= Those with no A/R experience
• $20 = Those with healthcare A/R experience

Location: Overland Park, KS 66211

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 1-3 years healthcare or billing experience (Preferred)
• Experience working computer programs
• High Professionalism and Great Communication Skills
