Job description

We're hiring for two Occupational Health RN positions to support a Fortune 500 company, based on whether you're seeking a full-time (40-hour work week) or PRN opportunity.


Location: Sterling Heights, MI




Contract RN Position:

  • Shift: Monday - Friday, 2 PM to 11 PM (2nd Shift)
  • Duration: Filling in for a medical leave of absence expected to last through December 2024, with potential for extension.



PRN Contract RN:

  • Hours: Currently ranging from 4:30 AM to midnight, typically in 8-hour increments, Monday to Friday.

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable nurse to provide high-quality healthcare services within a plant setting.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians in administering treatments, conducting physical examinations, performing diagnostic tests, and executing basic medical care functions with diligence, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

  • Support the administration of company policies related to medical recordkeeping, employee health records, and medical leave of absence.

  • Provide health services and conduct surveillance evaluations for company employees, documenting observations, assessments, and treatments in line with company policy.

  • Perform routine nursing tasks associated with medical screenings, tests, and clinical procedures, including collecting samples and conducting hearing and vision screenings.

  • Monitor patient vitals and behaviors, assisting in medical emergencies on company premises (accidents, injuries, sudden illnesses, etc.) and effectively communicating with the medical team.

  • Deliver patient-centered care with empathy and professionalism, communicating health screening results and managing medication administration protocols.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records, ensuring compliance with regulatory developments and infection control protocols.

  • Support emergency procedures and adhere to infection control practices.


Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Active Michigan RN license in good standing.

  • Previous experience in occupational health, family medicine, primary care, or urgent care nursing.

  • Drug testing certification/training.

  • Proof of bloodborne pathogen training.
