Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics, with an emphasis on family-centered care. This is an excellent opportunity for newly graduated NPs or PAs to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough health assessments and physical exams for patients of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly.
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications in accordance with state laws.
Provide preventive care, including immunizations, developmental screenings, and health counseling.
Educate patients and families about health management, wellness, and disease prevention.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay current with best practices in family medicine.
Provide follow-up care and make referrals to specialists when needed.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Licensure: Current NP or PA license in NY.
Certifications: BLS/ACLS certification required; certification in family medicine or pediatrics is a plus.
Experience: Open to newly graduated NPs or PAs; previous clinical experience in pediatrics or family medicine during training is preferred.
Skills: Strong clinical and communication skills, a commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
