Job description

* Provides primary care to patients, performs initial examinations, and orders and administers diagnostic tests.
* Assesses patients, analyzes data, and applies principles of healthcare at an advanced level.
* Utilizes protocol-driven, evidence-based cardiac care and coordinates with physicians in the assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of delegated medical treatments.
* Obtains detailed and accurate health and psychosocial history, with an emphasis on cardiovascular medicine.
* Screens and evaluates patients to determine the need for intervention, referral, or follow-up care under the direction of supervising physicians.
* Performs comprehensive physical assessments with an emphasis on cardiovascular medicine (thorough exams to include, but not limited to: thyroid, chest, heart, abdomen, peripheral vascular evaluation, neurological).

Qualifications
* Completed a nurse practitioner education program and certification as approved or recognized by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
* Current Arizona Registered Nurse Licensure, Nurse Practitioner Certificate, and Current CPR, ACLS, and DEA licenses.
* Licensure in the state where employed or a compact party state and board-certified.
* APN authorization in the state where employed to practice in family health by the Board of Nurse Examiners.
* Prescriptive authorization-They will not prescribe any narcotics but will need to verify further with the doctor.
* Ideally, at least a year of NP experience, but will consider a fresh NP grad if they have nursing experience in Cardio/Acute Care and MUST be open to learning EP.

Nice-to-Have Skills
* Five years in acute care nursing as a registered nurse.
* Certification in acute care with a focus on cardiac or cardiovascular medicine as a specialty area of focus.
* Prefer 2 years of experience in Electrophysiology (EP)-they are open to candidates without experience, willing to train, but MUST be eager to learn it.

Schedule
* Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Salary
* $105,000 to $110,000 per year
