Salary Expectations/ Pay Rate or Range: $43 - $48/hr depending on years of experience
Schedule/ Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM (with flexibility for some evenings). No weekends.
Facility Hours: 7a - 7p

Job Description

Responsibilities/ Job Duties:

  • Coordinate care for patients undergoing total joint replacement surgeries
  • Lead joint education classes for patients (both individual and group sessions)
  • Provide preoperative education and clearance for patients
  • Monitor patient progress, ensuring follow-ups post-surgery and during discharge planning
  • Participate in community outreach and marketing efforts, including senior center presentations and distributing educational materials
  • Collect and track metrics related to patient outcomes
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including total joint surgeons, RNs, PAs, and OR staff

Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements:

  • RN License - PA or compact
  • Experience in PACU, orthopedic nursing, or as a nurse educator preferred
  • Prior experience with EPIC or other EMR systems
  • Background in total joint procedures highly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, bedside manner, and adaptability
  • Experience in preoperative and postoperative care coordination
  • Ability to work autonomously and help build out a growing program

Team & Facility Details:

  • Total team: 30-35 staff members (including 16 surgeons, 10 PAs, and OR staff)
  • 50 total joint procedures per month, with potential to expand into spine surgeries
  • Equipment/EMR Systems: Stryker, EPIC
