Job description

Position Overview:

This full-time, on-site role focuses on hands-on wet-lab work, requiring expertise in NGS techniques. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in molecular assay development, particularly for clinical and research applications, along with strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills. Experience developing LDT/IVD products is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute high-sensitivity molecular assays for NGS and digital PCR from blood cells and plasma.
  • Independently manage RNA/DNA sequencing workflows, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Lead assay design, qualification, and validation for pre-clinical trials.
  • Utilize molecular biology techniques (PCR, sequencing, etc.) to support single-cell assays and low-cell-number applications (e.g., RNA-seq, WES, WGS).
  • Manage lab documentation, SOPs, and experimental plans.

Scientific and Communication Skills:

  • Stay updated on scientific advancements through meetings and webinars.
  • Prepare and present reports and technical documents for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for method development and optimization.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with cell sorting or combinatorial barcoding technologies.
  • Familiarity with CLIA/CAP labs and developing genomic LDT/IVD products is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in NGS assay development, particularly in cancer genomics.
  • Expertise in molecular biology techniques and bioinformatics.
  • Experience with clinically relevant patient samples and cloud-based bioinformatics platforms.
