Job Description:
As an MRI Technologist, you will play a vital role in the diagnostic process by operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' internal structures for medical interpretation. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring accurate diagnoses and optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MRI Procedures: Conduct MRI examinations on patients following established protocols and physician orders.
Patient Preparation: Ensure patient comfort and safety during the procedure by explaining the process, answering questions, and preparing patients for the scan.
Equipment Operation: Operate MRI machines and associated equipment to obtain diagnostic images with precision and clarity.
Image Quality Assurance: Review and evaluate obtained images to ensure they meet diagnostic standards, making adjustments as needed.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, including the proper use of contrast agents when required, and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
Maintenance and Calibrations: Perform routine maintenance on MRI equipment and report any malfunctions or issues for prompt resolution.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including exam details, patient history, and any relevant information.
Communication: Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging findings and assist in the development of treatment plans.
Patient Care: Provide compassionate care, address patient concerns, and ensure a positive experience throughout the imaging process.
