Job description

Medix is looking to hire a Spanish bilingual Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMFT/ LCSW) to join a private, non-profit agency in San Fernando Valley, CA 91340.

The LCSW/MFT provides initial behavioral health evaluations, brief therapy, trauma informed care, stress management training, motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and referral services for clinic clientele.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides initial behavioral health evaluations and ongoing established BH visits.
  • Develops BH care plans for individuals, groups with psychosocial needs and concerns.
  • Able to provide services in multiple modalities.
  • Strong knowledge of CA laws related to ethics, PHI, HIPPA.
  • Coordinates treatment team in collaboration with Psychiatry.
  • Identifies and supervises case management needs for patients with complex needs.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary care team members.
  • Provides direct supervision to MSW, BSW, CM, student interns, as appropriate.
  • Promotes the principles of a Patient-Centered Medical Home.
  • Able to work with I.T. systems to deliver synchronized telehealth services.
  • Participates in quality improvement activities related to BH services, outcomes.

Requirements / Experience

    • Masters in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy from accredited institution
    • Current CA state BBS registration
    • Minimum 2-4 years ambulatory clinic experience.

  • Bilingual, English/Spanish REQUIRED

  • Monday- Friday 8:00- 5:00 pm
