Job description

This is a once in a lifetime MA opportunity with a growing organization

Position: Mental Health Medical Assistant OR Bachelors in Psych/Social Work/Counseling or related (with QMAP or willing to get it)

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Locations: Northern Denver

Compensation:

  • $18.00 - $24+ per hour PTO, Medical,Vision,Dental

Responsibilities:

  • Rooming patients and documenting vital signs
  • Administering injections and conducting medical intake
  • Handling medication packing for patients with overdose risk
  • Conducting Point of Care (POC) testing, including urine drug screenings
  • Monitoring phone queues and escalating calls when necessary
  • Assisting with telehealth appointments during Provider off-site hours
  • Providing feedback to the Provider based on observations during the rooming process
  • Collaborating with RNs for training and ongoing support

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the Medical Assistant (MA) space
  • If only MA diploma, must be willing to acquire within 6 months of starting
  • Current LPN, CMA/RMA, or QMAP certification (QMAP must come with a Bachelor's degree in a related field)
  • Nice to have: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
