Job description

Are you in the job market? Medix is hiring multiple Member Services Representatives for a well known health system in Richmond, VA!

Location: Richmond, VA

Schedule: 40 hour weeks, 5 days a week - must be willing to work weekends, scheduled between 8am - 8pm

Pay: $18/ hour

Job Overview:

  • Handle incoming calls to address eligibility, claim, and payment issues
  • Provide off-phone assistance to customers and department leadership as needed
  • Assist carriers, update billing information, establish payment plans, and screen callers for financial assistance
  • Resolve charge and payment inquiries effectively
  • Operate in a fast-paced contact center environment, managing 50-70 inbound calls daily
  • Demonstrate strong listening skills and communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally
  • Deliver quality service and ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication
  • Manage all aspects of customer service related to research and resolution

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in Customer Service preferably in a healthcare or insurance setting
  • Experience with Medicare is desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle a face paced environment
