Job description

Job Summary:

The Medical Receptionist is responsible for providing excellent patient service, handling front desk duties, and ensuring the smooth flow of patient information. Key responsibilities include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, processing payments, and assisting with general office tasks.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and Check-In Patients: Welcome patients warmly, verify personal and insurance information, and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Manage Appointments: Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments, manage appointment calendars, and provide reminders as needed.
  • Answer Calls and Respond to Inquiries: Handle incoming calls, answer questions, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate department.
  • Maintain Patient Records: Enter accurate patient information into the electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA.
  • Handle Billing and Payments: Collect co-pays, process payments, and assist patients with billing questions as needed.
  • Support Office Operations: Maintain an organized reception area, manage office supplies, assist with administrative tasks, and collaborate with the medical team to enhance patient experience.

Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements: completed High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Skills: Bilingual (fluency in Spanish & English), Epic experience

Schedule/ Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, no weekends or evenings
