Medix is hiring for a Medical Scribe/Medical Office Specialist with one of St. Louis' leading healthcare institutes! This is a temporary role that will likely last 3-4 months! There is the possibility to go permanent within a different clinic following this contracted period. This is a great opportunity if you are interested in gaining experience as a Scribe!

Role Overview:

• Fulfills the primary administrative support and non-clinical functions of a busy physician by scribing medical data into a paper or electronic medical record system.
• Accurately documents the events and decision-making in a manner that results in appropriate medical charting.
• Scribes also complete clerical activities necessary to assist with processing of physician orders for tests and medications.
• Accurate, timely charting of patient encounters, including but not limited to patient history, physical exams, diagnostic findings, lab and test results, consultations with other providers, emergency department treatment course, diagnoses, discharge instructions and prescriptions.

Requirements:

• 3+ years medical office/healthcare experience
• Medical Terminology knowledge
• It's a plus if you have pediatrics or gastroenterology experience! (not required)

Schedule: M-F 8:00-5:00

Pay: $15-20/hr

Location: Primarily located in 63112 near Forest Park

*May have to travel to West County and South County when Provider goes there!
