Medical Scribe
Job description
Medix is currently hiring a Medical Scribe for an oncology physician's office in the Corpus Christi area.
If you have at least a year of recent scribing experience APPLY TODAY!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist the assigned physician in completing patient care data in the EMR system.
- Shadow the physician throughout patient visits, supporting data collection and entry.
- Enter verbal orders for patient care and transcribe dictation of physician observations.
- Create the final physician visit note for review and electronic approval/signature.
- Collaborate with the physician, Medical Assistant, and Infusion Nurse to communicate patient care orders
- Guide the physician through the patient's medical record for medication orders and document reviews
Qualifications:
- Strong keyboarding skills (typing)
- 1 year of scribe experience
- Prior EMR experience
- Adept at MS Office programs
- Thorough knowledge of medical terminology
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
