Details:

  • Position: Medical Scheduler
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
  • Pay: $20-22 per hour
  • Type: Contract with potential for permanent conversion
  • Location: Fully on site

Job Description:

  • Schedule patients accurately based on physician/department availability and urgency.
  • Synchronize appointment calendars to ensure effective scheduling.
  • Obtain valid and compliant physician orders and schedule diagnostic, surgical, and special procedures.
  • Confirm patient appointments, provide directions to the facility, and arrange for necessary assistance (e.g., interpreter, mobility support).
  • Establish and update hospital account records with patient demographic and insurance information in the EHR system.
  • Respond promptly to requests from staff, patients, and physicians.
  • Reschedule or cancel appointments as needed.

Must-Have Skills/Qualifications:

  • 2 years of medical scheduling experience
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in appointment scheduling systems
  • Strong healthcare customer service skills
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
