Medical Scheduler
Job description
- Will be working in a task box to work through incoming referrals
- Referrals may be faxed, called in independent/self referrals, new patient referrals
- Will work through about 35-50/day
- Scheduling referrals for 4-5 Providers + APP's (6-8 in total), will eventually learn to schedule for all locations (will work with them over time on this gradually)
- EMR= NextGen
- Request and obtain any required information needed for medical records
- Confirming appointment with new patient
- 4 Schedulers on the team (5 will be fully staffed)
- Will assist with some triaging, 10-15 calls/day, working on reducing this number
- HYBRID AFTER TRAINING: After fully trained and working efficiently on their own (typically about 6 months), this position will turn hybrid (2-3 days in office, 2-3 days home) - Equipment provided!
- Looking for someone professional and knowledgeable in the medical office space, this person needs to have great tenure and ready to learn/grow with this team --> Must have previous scheduling experience, but ultimately looking for someone who demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving skills
