Job description

We are currently seeking a Medical Scheduler for the Sarasota / Bradenton area!

Responsibilities include:

- Conducting professional interviews and scheduling patients for outpatient services, including pre-registration.
- Efficiently coordinating patient schedules to optimize satisfaction for both patients and physicians throughout the institution.
- Effectively communicating patient instructions, physician order requirements, and authorization/pre-certification/referral needs to patients, physician office staff, and other relevant personnel.
- Ensuring scheduling and pre-registration accuracy aligns with department standards.
- Generating estimates for patient financial responsibilities and collecting co-insurance, co-payments, and deductibles as required.
- Initiating processes to ensure patients meet hospital financial policies/guidelines for services, and facilitating transfers to appropriate departments for complex situations.

This is a full-time position with hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday and is 100% onsite. Compensation begins at $17.75/hr and this is a contract to hire position.
