Qualifications

  • 1-2 years healthcare administrative experience (front office, scheduling, billing, insurance verification, etc. could all work)
  • Someone with experience working in a EMR
  • Good computer skills and is comfortable navigating through different systems

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Medical Records Specialist you will…

  • Chart prep, reading providers' note and obtain all records requested/needs prior the patient's appointment
  • Arizona Oncology is on IKnowMed Generation 2 EMR
  • Calling facilities and using different portals (they use the hospitals portals which are on different EMR such as Cerner and Epic)
  • Respond to chart messages from the providers
  • Complete release of information requests (anything under 25 pages) - they have separate office that handles 25+ page requests
  • Scanning and indexing records that come in
  • Receive records electronically and then attach them as a PDF to patient's chart
  • Medical Oncology, GYN, Hematology, Colorectal, breast are the types of cancers they see
  • The medical records process is the same for each provider, so it is important to follow processes correctly

Work Environment: This position is going to be ON SITE.

Job Type: Full-time

$20/hour (DOE)

  • Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
