Job description

Position: Contract Receptionist and EPIC Super User
Contract Duration: August 20, 2024 - September 20, 2024
Pay Rate: $20-25/hour
Locations: Boulder, CO
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am-5:00 pm (shift times may vary between 7:30 am-4:30 pm or 8:00 am-5:00 pm)

We are seeking experienced individuals to support medical leave coverage and the transition from NextGen to Epic EHR. This role requires candidates who can be "super users" of both EHR systems, assisting the team with questions during the implementation process.

EPIC EHR experience is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Receptionist Duties:

    • Answer telephone promptly, assess patient needs to determine appointment type.
    • Summarize appointment details before ending the phone call.
    • Manage phone functionalities (transfers, placing callers on hold, forwarding to afterhours message system, etc.).
    • Accurately record patient names, numbers, and demographic information with correct spelling and punctuation.
    • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments according to provider preferences and scheduling protocols.
    • Navigate and operate the Electronic Medical Records system (NextGen initially, then Epic), including arriving patients for appointments and inputting relevant information as needed.
  2. Epic Transition Support:

    • Undergo training to become an Epic super user.
    • Serve as a resource to the team during the Epic transition, answering questions and providing support.

Requirements:

  • Experience with EPIC EHR is required.
  • Ability to commit to the full duration of the assignment (8/06-9/27).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
  • Flexibility to work either 7:30 am-4:30 pm or 8:00 am-5:00 pm shifts.
