Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones and check messages promptly.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Verify patient information and collect co-pays.
  • Confirm insurance eligibility for patients.
  • Monitor provider schedules for accuracy.
  • Handle patient complaints and escalate to the Office Manager as needed.
  • Complete end-of-day tasks, including batching and balancing finance reports.
  • Reschedule and schedule appointments, including follow-up calls to waitlist patients.
  • Prepare fee slips and charts for the next day's appointments.
  • Retrieve previous notes from referring doctors for new patients.
  • Handle problem calls and complete necessary paperwork for triage.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, providers, and insurance companies.

Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
