Job Description:

Medix is seeking a highly organized and efficient Medical PBX Operator to join a great healthcare team.. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced medical or healthcare call center environment, handling a high volume of incoming calls and providing excellent customer service to patients and medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answering incoming calls with a heavy volume, averaging 200-300 calls per day.
• Routing calls to the appropriate person or department, primarily from patients seeking assistance.
• Handling emergency room (ER) calls and routing them to on-call doctors as necessary.
• Managing daily mail tasks, including operating the mail stamping machine twice a day and distributing mail to the correct departments.
• Folding and mailing billing forms as required.
• Assisting patients who are unsure of where to go by handling overflow calls and providing guidance.

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a PBX operator, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a medical or healthcare call center.
• Ability to handle a high volume of calls efficiently while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is a plus.

Pay Range: $21-23 per hour, depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
